The traditional vineyard and the wine tavern Oberschil-Rieger are located in the pictorial town Hagenbrunn, beside the northern city limit of Vienna. Our family has been caring for the viniculture since 1932. Our passion for wine was handed down from generation to generation. The combination of nature, technique in the vineyard and wine cellar as well as old, established traditions and new knowledge result in wine of the highest quality.

The Oberschil-Rieger vineyard is anxious to accentuate the amenities of the Weinviertel area. Wines such as Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Riesling, Zweigelt and Blauburgunder are pressed. Modern technology along with faithful, professional work and a love for detail produce lively white wines, forceful and exquisite red wines and special sweet wine vintages. Oberschil-Rieger vineyard is the recipient of numerous awards, including Falstaff, A La Carte, Crand-Cru and Circle of the Best. The tavern has received the "top wine tavern" from the land of Lower Austria.

Our wine tavern reflects a lengthy family tradition. In 1950, a small wine restaurant was first established. The restaurant was originally opened only a few weekends per year. For the past 15 years, chiefess Regina Rieger has managed the wine tavern with the support of her son, Christoph and her parents, Leopoldine and Michael. As always, the Riegers strive to provide the highest quality food, wines and service.

The Riegers are proud to announce that the wine tavern now offers a new buffet that includes a rich assortment of dishes and and inviting taproom where the young and young at heart can come together. The convenience of a playground located in the entrance area allows young children to have a good time while giving their parents the opportunity to socialize. The wine tavern is the perfect setting to celebrate birthdays, weddings, and Christmas to name but a few.   Arrangements can be made to accommodate parties for special occasions. Options include an individual buffet or the tavern buffet.
